Occupational Background:I've only had one employer, (See Luke 2:49). I've never been tardy, absent, disobedient, slothful or disrespectful. My employer has nothing but rave reviews for me, (See Matthew 3:15-17)
Skills and Work Experiences: Some of my skills and work experiences include: empowering the poor to be poor no more, healing the brokenhearted, setting the captives free, healing the sick, restoring sight to the blind and setting at liberty them that are bruised, (See Luke 4:18). I am a Wonderful Counselor, (See Isaiah 9:6). People who listen to me shall dwell safely and shall not fear evil, (See Proverbs 1:33). Most importantly, I have the authority, ability and power to cleanse you of your sins, (See I John 1:7-9)
Educational Background: I encompass the entire breadth and length of knowledge, wisdom and understanding, (See Proverbs 2:6). In me are hid all of the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, (See Colossians 2:3). My Word is so powerful; it has been described as being a lamp unto your feet and a lamp unto your path, (See Psalms 119:105). I can even tell you all of the secrets of your heart, (See Psalms 44:21)
Major Accomplishments:I was an active participant in the greatest Summit Meeting of all times, (See Genesis 1:26). I laid down my life so that you may live, (See II Corinthians 5:15). I defeated the archenemy of God and mankind and made a show of them openly, (See Colossians 2:15). I've miraculously fed the poor, healed the sick and raised the dead! Darlene ‘Doc’ Higgins: Producer, Writer and Director:
In business Darlene has been a doctor of chiropractic for the last 21 years. She runs her own clinic in Terrell, Texas where she lives with her husband Wayne Higgins and two children,Kevin and Krystal.
Darlene is also very involved in the motion picture business. She and her husband Wayne are producers in a production company named Pipedreams that is currently working on a full-length film entitled Unbridled. It is a western set in the late 1880s that is about the Guadalupe Hidalgo Treaty and the way the Hispanics of that time were cheated out of their land grants.
Darlene has had a part in The Legend of Jeremiah Caine, acted on stage in I Need a Vacation and directed and produced the musical One Christmas Morning. She is also a still photographer and headshot photographer. Not only is she a very talented actor but also one of the producers of Pipedreams Entertainment, LLC. Doc, as people call her, went to church at a young age and was very active in Girl’s Auxiliary and choir. Then due to family issues she left the church. As a teen she tried to go back and was turned away at the door because of her clothing. It was several years later before she listened to Jesus knocking on her heart’s door again. She finally accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior in 1975. For several years after that she dedicated herself to serving the Lord and even went to Bible College and became a teacher. Not only did she travel around and speak at different churches but she also taught Bible, English and Journalism in a Parochial School to High School students.
Her and her stepdaughter moved to Irving in 1984 and began attending Parker College of Chiropractic. She found a home church in Farmers Branch and became very involved in the ministry at that church. She even held Home Bible Studies where there would be 70-80 in attendance. After the collapse of the church, Doc began studying Native American Teachings and finding out as much about natural healing to help in her Chiropractic business.
She began working with missionaries in Haiti and helped start an orphanage and school, which has since grown to 3 orphanages and schools. She also did missionary and chiropractic work in Brazil, the Amazon Rainforest and Mexico. She was invited to work with Mother Teresa in India, but the trip didn’t come about before Mother Teresa’s death.
Wayne ‘ Whistler’ Higgins: Actor, Producer, Music and Sound Coordinator:
Whistler has been very busy in the last few years in the Entertainment business. He has been doing a National Commercial for York Air Conditioning for the last 4 years as York’s Whistler and travels all over the US performing and making appearance at their conventions. In 2003 he won an International Whistling Competition in North Carolina. He has put out a very successful CD of his music called Whistler’s Strut.
Aside from his musical talent he has also accomplished a lot as an actor. He has starred in several music videos with Carolyn Dawn Johnson, William Hung and Atmosphere. He was the co-host on FOX TV reality series, Playing It Straight. He played Jeremiah Caine in The Legend of Jeremiah Caine, an undercover cop in Entanglement, a crazy patient in Jekyll, and an anthropology professor in World of Change. He also played Cleopus in The Resurrected by Tammy Lane Productions. In his spare time Whistler likes to play the guitar, banjo, flute, harmonica, hammered dulcimer, guitjo, recorder, ukulele and percussion. He is also a custom spur maker, knifesmith and gunsmith. He is also one of the founding members and producers of Unbridled, LLC.
Whistler has known Jesus as his personal savior since a very young age. He spent years in church and even at one time felt called to the Ministry as a pastor. But several years ago dissension in the church and bickering caused him to question his commitments to the church. He never left the Lord, but he did leave the church. It wasn’t until he visited Rafter J Cowboy Church that he once again found his church home.
David Pinkston, Director of Photography and Editing:
David Pinkston has been a professional cinematographer and freelance editor since 1980. He is a Graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a BFA in studio arts with concentration in Cinematography and Photography.
Film works include features, industrials, commercials and PSAs and has worked in all film formats from 16mm, 35mm to 70mm IMAX. Film clients and companies include the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, City of Fort Worth, Baptist Radio and Television Commission, Laser Magic, Kaelin Productions and BLACKleaderFILMS.
As a videographer he has shot for clients such as Miss Texas, Buckboard Productions, Texas Christian University, Baptist Radio and Television Commission.
Production locations have taken him to sites in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Chile, Argentina, and Colombia.
In the early 1980's he worked with Fort Worth Productions and Univision, Inc. whose clients included Van Cliburn, KERA, Texas State Technical Institute and local clients for industrials and commercials.
He is a licensed private pilot, scuba driver and enjoys helping students at the UTA film and video section.
